This 1200 calories meal plan is based on Meal Replacement Powders (MRP) which requires no cooking and can be prepared in no time. However, Liquid Diet is not an easy diet, it is not cheap diet, but results can be great.

- during the day, one drinks 5 shakes and that is all foods one gets during that day. Almonds consumed in the evening, can be part of shake or they can be eaten as dessert.

- additional fibers are added to increase daily fiber intake, to promote one feeling satiated and to help digestion.

BCAA is added to prevent catabolism and increase protein content. If you can afford add BCAA or essential amino acids in every shake.

- omega-3 pills are used to increase amounts of healthy fats. If you can, feel free to consume them with every shake. Also, pill of CLA here and there can help, too.

dieting pills are great for boosting energy and suppressing appetite. On their own they can't do much, but when calories are this low, they can be very helpful.

vitamin and mineral pills are highly recommended, since one doesn't eat any real food on such diet.

Long story short - 1200 calories per day is very low, unless you are 60kg elderly person (no offense, please). For everybody else, this type of diet will help you lose fat, just be aware that going to low with daily calorie intake can lead to metabolism slowing down.
 
Also, this is not cheap diet, especially if you are using good supplements - and you need good supplements, since you are not eating real food for 4 weeks.
