Nautilus T618 Treadmill - Review and Recommendation
Nautilus T618 Treadmill is large and sturdy home treadmill, design for even the most demanding home running workouts. It features steel frame, high capacity motor, wide and long running deck with large rollers and 3-ply belt, automatic incline, excellent deck cushioning etc.
Nautilus T618 treadmill is similar in design with Nautilus T616 and T614 treadmills, but it has better cushioning system, stronger motor and few more extra features.
Obviously, Nautilus T618 is high-end home treadmill that comes with hefty price tag, but again, 'what you pay is what you get' - excellent running, jogging and walking treadmill for exercising at the privacy of your home.
Nautilus T618 Treadmill Features and Specifications
When assembled and ready for use, Nautilus T618 is large treadmill with dimensions (L x W x H) of 72.4 x 35.2 x 57.6 inches (184 x 89 x 146 cm). Also, for a comfortable workouts, it also requires 2 feet (~61 cm) of free space all around the unit, except the back of the unit, where 3 feet (~91.5 cm) of free space is recommended.
Fully assembled unit weighs 253.5 pounds (~114.8 kg), due to the thick steel frame which is required for supporting maximum user weight of 350 pounds (~158.5 kg).
Although large and heavy, most of the important parts come pre-assembled, with all the tools and instructions included. However, if you are not DIY person, do yourself a favor and order a trained technician to assemble the unit for you and test it.
The maintenance is not different from other treadmills: belt and deck should be kept clean, belt should be regularly lubricated after ~25 hours of use. Also, user should periodically check for loose parts (bolts, wires etc) and similar.
Running deck dimensions are typical for home high-end treadmills (L x W): 60 x 20 inches (152.4 x 50.8 cm). Running deck is large enough to allow even people with longer strides to run comfortably for longer period of time.
Running belt is durable 3-ply 2.5 mm belt, being powered via 2.75 inch (~7 cm) rollers.
Running deck is ~9 inches (~23 cm) above the floor and with maximum incline of 15% that is additional ~9 inches from the floor - minimum ceiling height is approximately 18 inches + runner height when running (this depends on the runner height, but also his/her running style) for comfortable workout, preferably slightly more.
Deck cushioning is so-called 'Rebound Deck Cushioning', which absorbs the impacts and decreases the stress on the ankles, knees and hips. Deck cushioning is based on a two pairs of shock absorbers at the front and three pairs at the rear of the running deck.
Running deck incline is motorized and can be changed automatically or manually from 0 to 15% in 1% increments.
Nautilus T618 treadmill is powered with 3.5 CHP (Continuous HP) motor, being able to support speeds from 0.5 to 12 mph (0.8 to 19 km/h) in 0.1 mph (0.16 km/h) increments.

All three treadmills are great home treadmills, with strong motors, 0-12 mph speed range, large supported user weight, good cushioning etc.
Nautilus T614 treadmill has the weakest motor (2.75 vs 3.0 vs 3.5 CHP) and the smallest running deck of 20x55 inches. But, it also supports users up to 300 pounds, just like T616.
Unlike T616 and T618, T614 doesn't feature Bluetooth connectivity and hence it lacks mixed-reality training (RunSocial App). However, it also has the option of transferring the data via USB port to Nautilus Connect and MyFitnessPal accounts.
Also, T614 doesn't support chest strap heart rate monitor - it has 'only' a contact sensors.
Nautilus T616 treadmill sits between T614 and T618 regarding their features, performances, warranty and price. Although T618 comes with the highest price of all three models, it also offers the most of all three models.
Long Story Short: If you are looking for strong and durable treadmill that will serve you for years to come, consider Nautilus T618. It is large and heavy unit that should be placed on permanent position and used according to the workout schedule.
It features really strong motor, durable belt, large rollers, excellent impact absorption system, easily readable console, 4 user profiles etc.
It also comes with a nice price tag, but as said before, what you pay is what you get.
