Heart Rate Monitoring
Users can monitor their heart rate with wireless and grip system. They can use a Bluetooth wireless telemetry system with a chest strap. This strap can keep sending the readings continuously to the display. However, the chest strap is not included with the unit.
Users can even get the heart rate using the built-in EKG grip sensors in the handlebars.
There is a spacious 22” x 60” tread belt on the 2450 which is the most spacious tread belt offered by NordicTrack and is also wider than those occurring on treadmills used in gyms and health clubs.
The belt is two-ply and stretch-resistant and runs over 2.5” precision and balanced non-flex rollers. This helps minimize the maintenance. The NordicTrack Commercial 2450 offers a great speed range of 0 to 12 MPH.
The RunnersFlex cushioning on the tread belt of the 2450 offers users to choose between cushioning that reduces the impact on their joints during workouts by up to 30% and flat belt to give a feeling of running on a real road. Cushioning can be adjusted with a reflex-knob on the side of the deck.
The WhisperQuiet technology featured in the 2450 absorbs sound from users’ footfall and thus makes the machine very quiet.
SpaceSaver Design and EasyLift Assist
Like all other machines in the Commercial series by NordicTrack, the 2450 also comes with an EasyLift Assist, a hydraulic system with which users can raise and lower the unit easily and SpaceSaver design which saves the living space.

Comparison between NordicTrack Commercial Treadmill Series 1750, 2450 and 2950
The Commercial series by NordicTrack contains all top-of-the-line treadmills viz. 1750, 2450 and 2950. They have some similarities but have some differences too. Here are the differences.
- Motor: The power of the motor goes in an ascending order from the 1750 which has a 3.75 CHP motor, to the 2450 which has a 4 CHP motor, to the 2950 which has a 4.25 CHP motor.
- Display: The size of the display differs in all the three machines; while the 1750 has a 10” display, the 2450 has a 14” display and the 2950 has a 22” display.
- Preset Workouts: Although the 2950 has an upper hand over the other two in other aspects, it’s outshined by them when it comes to the number of preset workouts on each of these machines. While the 2950 has 40 preset workouts, the 1750 and the 2450 both has 50 preset workouts.
Plus, the prices of these machines differ. Rest everything is same in all the machines. So, users can decide which one to choose among these depending on the features they want and their budget.
The NordicTrack Commercial 2450 is a very good treadmill with a strong and durable construction, powerful but self-cooling motor, large and clear display, 50 preset workouts as well as iFit Coach membership and quiet operation, all at an affordable price. Thus it’s an excellent deal for light runners of varying skill and fitness levels who are on budget.
Since it’s built to last for more than ten years, even poor customer care is no problem. The features it offers are available only on other treadmills that cost much more than this unit. All in all, the Commercial 2450 offers the best value for users’ money.
