Labrada Nutrition ElastiJoint
Labrada Nutrition ElastiJoint is one of the best buy joints support supplements on the market. It comes in the form of powder which is used for preparing healthy and refreshing drink.
Labrada Nutrition ElastiJoint comes in several flavors: Orange, Fruit Punch and Grape. Flavors are rather good, with perhaps Grape being the best, but that is highly individual.
ElastiJoint is designed to help maintain healthy joint function, elasticity and flexibility. It helps strengthen healthy joints and helps in recovery of injured ones by providing the building blocks for tendons, ligaments etc.
Joint support supplements are not pain-killers and their effect is not visible right away after the use - it takes weeks or even months for joints to recover properly, IF they recover. I say 'IF' because, sometimes the only way to patch and heal the joint is a surgery, not some supplement, regardless how good it is.
ElastiJoint comes in the 350g (12.35 oz) packages, which are enough for 28 days. One serving is 12.5g and is easily measured with the scoop - due to powder settling, scoop is often not on the surface of powder.
One serving of Labrada ElastiJoint contains:
- 20 kcal
- 5g of total carbohydrates (of which is 1g of sugars)
- 3 mg vitamin B2 - 176% of RDA
- 990 mg vitamin C - 1,650% of RDA
- 125 mg sodium
- 5000 mg Hydrolyzed Gelatin
- 2000 mg Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM)
- 1500 mg Glucosamine Sulfate
- 1200 mg Chondroitin Sulfate
If you are allergic to shellfish or similar foods, ElastiJoint is not a product for you.
If you are on a Keto diet, note that there are 5g of total carbs in this supplement.
To support recovery and regeneration, ElastiJoint also include vitamins B2 and C in doses larger than their respective RDAs. However, they are water soluble vitamins and any excess is easily removed from the body.
Main working ingredients are Hydrolyzed Gelatin, Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Glucosamine Sulfate and Chondroitin Sulfate and they come in such doses, which are hardly attainable using joint support supplements in the form of pills and tablets.
Anyway, perhaps the best time to take the ElastiJoint is BEFORE you develop any joint related issue.
Author of this article is 40+ years old (young!) and 100+ kg heavy guy, with decades of practicing various sports and Martial Arts - I take ElastiJoint 2-3x per year and I take it only on workdays, between meals. Also, I consume at least 3-4g of Omega-3 per day, preferably from the fish - Omega-3 is important for healthy joints and is also very good for human healthy in general.
Note: before taking any supplement, consult your doctor or physician. This is not 'just another disclaimer'. For example, ElastiJoint has ingredients that are processed from seashells. Maybe you are not allergic to those ingredients, but, maybe you are. Also, omega-3 tends to 'thin out' the blood and slows down coagulation - if you have any issues regarding coagulation, omega-3 can 'help' you bleed out - not a very nice thing!
Long Story Short - Labrada Nutrition ElastiJoint is one of the best and one of the best-buy joint support supplements in the world. If you train hard and you are physically active, consider taking this (or similar) supplement before your joints start to hurt. If you do have aching joints, ElastiJoint can help you in recovery.
For people on strict diets, one serving has only 20 kcal - 5g of carbs, of which only 1g are sugars.
