When we calculate our Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) or very similar Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR), we calculate the amount of energy expended while at rest, per day.
It must be noted that this is calculated for resting in a neutrally temperate environment while the digestive system is inactive (at least 12 hours after eating food).

In many cultures and societies flat six-pack abs were and still are symbols of physical power, strength, and stamina both for women and men.
Men want flat and ripped abs and women mostly 'just' toned abs with two vertical lines emphasizing midsection curves. And jet, when you go to the beach, how many such individuals with ripped abs can you see? And a more important question - are you one of them?

There is never ending discussion regarding eating egg whites vs. whole eggs. Problem is rather simple: 10 egg whites have around 35g of protein, 5g of carbohydrates and no fats or fiber and that is 160 kcal for eating 35g of protein. On the other hand, 100g of eggs has 12g of protein, 1g of carbohydrates and 10g of fats - note that 2 medium sized eggs have around 120g.
In order to consume 36g of protein, one has to eat 5 medium sized eggs and that is 36g of protein, 3g of carbohydrates and 30g of fats; that is around 420 kcal for 36g of protein. And that is huge difference.
