Apple and Low Fat Cheese Smoothie

Meal Replacement Smoothie - apple with low fat or cottage cheese makes a great snack. This smoothie has slow digesting protein and gives a feeling of fullness for a longer period of time.

Peel off an apple, slice it into smaller pieces, and put into the shaker.

Also, put low-fat or cottage cheese into the shaker.


Add some water or milk and then use a hand blender to mix everything.

If you don't like using a hand blender, use an ordinary blender. I prefer the hand blender, it is much easier to wash it :o)

This apple smoothie has around 210 kcal, with most calories coming from carbohydrates and protein. These numbers are for smoothies made with water. If you add milk, use skim milk - you need only about 1 dcl (that is an additional 3g of protein, 4g of carbs, and 1g of fat). Also, this apple smoothie has 4g of fibers.

If you put shaker with smoothie in the freezer for half an hour, you will get an apple ice cream with great taste and even better nutrient content - great during summer.
