Simple Banana and Low Fat Cheese Smoothie Recipe

Meal Replacement Smoothie - banana with low fat or cottage cheese makes a great snack.

This smoothie has slow digesting protein while banana provides relatively fast carbs for greater energy.

Peel off a banana and put it into the shaker.

Put low-fat or cottage cheese into the shaker.


Add some water or milk and press it gently with a hand shaker.

Mix will blend in no time - much faster when compared with apple smoothie.

This banana smoothie has around 270 kcal, mostly from carbohydrates, some from protein. Fats are very low. These numbers are for smoothies made with water. If you add milk, use skim milk - you need only about 1 dcl (that is an additional 3g of protein, 4g of carbs, and 1g of fat).

Banana smoothie has 4g of fibers. If you need more fibers, add some milled flax seeds (that will also increase amounts of fats) or some fiber supplement.

If you put shaker with smoothie in freezer for a half-hour, you will get a banana ice cream with great taste and even better nutrient content - great during summer.
