strawberry banana smoothie 1To make this smoothie, put into the shaker or suitable plastic pot a banana and some (frozen) strawberries.

Fresh strawberries are better, but fresh are not available all year-long (or they are available, but they don't even taste like strawberries).

To make this meal more balanced meal, add some low fat or cottage cheese.

To increase protein content, even more, you can add some MRP - vanilla or some fruity flavor would be ok.

Some people add chocolate flavors to fruity smoothies or they add some powdered dark chocolate - feel free to try, just be careful about your macronutrients.

strawberry banana smoothie 4In this example, I used Nanox Orbilox8, Vanilla flavor.

Add some water and then, using a hand blender, mix everything.

Be careful not to make a mess - seriously :)

If you don't add much water, then this smoothie can be eaten with a spoon.

During summer, put this smoothie into the refrigerator for some 30 minutes and eat it as a healthy ice-cream.

 This smoothie has around 410 kcal - most of the calories come from carbohydrates and protein, very little calories from fats. Fiber content is also very good - 8g of fibers per 400 kcal.

This smoothie is suitable for breakfast and as daily snacks. Due to its content, it can be used even as lunch, although I don't prefer 'sweet' meals for lunch or dinner (except from time to time Bedtime Protein Shake).

In this smoothie, I used Nanox Orbilox8 MRP, but you can use any MRP you like, or if you don't like them, don't use them at all.

Vary macronutrients according to your needs and your preferences. If you avoid cottage or low fat cottage, then put in some vegan protein powder and you will make a great vegan protein smoothie.
