Exerpeutic TF1000 High Capacity Walk to Fitness Electric Treadmill
Exerpeutic TF1000 High Capacity Walk to Fitness Electric Treadmill is an excellent home walk-only treadmill that comes at a very affordable price. There are cheaper similar treadmills, but TF1000 comes with more than enough features and a very high maximum allowed weight.

Exerpeutic TF1000 is a walking treadmill that comes with a 1.5 HP high-torque electric motor. At first, 1.5 HP doesn't look much but don't forget that this is a 'walking' treadmill, where speed is limited and where speed is 'sacrificed' for torque and force.
Speed is adjustable speed in 0.1 mph increments with a maximum speed of up to 4 mph (6.6 km/h). This speed is even enough for slow jogging, but fast walking impacts joints less and burns plenty of calories in the long run.
During operation, the TF1000 treadmill is very quiet and can be used while watching TC or listening to music. Since handles are extra long, it is relatively easy to improvise laptop stand and do simpler office tasks, just as one would do on any similar desk treadmill.
Exerpeutic TF1000 features 20x40 inches (~51 x 102 cm) walking deck. This is a relatively wide walking deck, very similar in width to more expensive treadmills. However, 40 inches long deck appears short, however, even taller people will have no issues with deck length, since this is a walk-only treadmill.
Handles are extra-long (18 inches, ~46 cm) and improve the safety of the treadmill. Handles also have Heart Pulse Pads and Speed Control Buttons. Handles are spaced enough even for larger people, but they are not adjustable and can't be shortened - it would be nice that they can be adjusted.
Heart Pulse Pads enable a trainee to target desired heart rate or just to monitor heart rate. There is no chest strap-on heart rate monitor of any kind (wired, wireless), so in order to measure current heart rate, the trainee must put his/her hands on the Heart Pulse Pads - it doesn't take much time for the computer to display heart rate monitor, but it can be sometimes annoying, especially if you use this treadmill as a very good treadmill desk.
Speed Control Buttons on handles are easy to use, even if the trainee is sweating a lot or gasping for air :)
Exerpeutic TF1000 console is very simple, but it does its job well. LCD display monitors time, distance, calories burned, speed, and pulse. There are no built-in programs or anything similar - trainee adjust the walking speed and simply walks, while the computer monitors the workout.
Although this is a walking treadmill, don't forget to connect the safety pin/key every time you train - better safe than sorry.
Unit weighs around 120 pounds (~54 kg) and it requires very little assembly when it arrives. However, before assembly and the first use, be sure to read the documentation that came with the treadmill.
Physical Dimensions: 51.2 x 32 x 63 inches (~130 x 81 x 160). This is one of the smaller treadmills around, with a relatively small footprint, even when in use. So, if you need a compact unit, consider this one.
Note: walking deck is rather low above the floor - around 8-10 inches, so if your ceiling is low and you want a treadmill, this unit might help.
To reduce footprint, even more, when not in use, TF1000 folds upwards - it has two pistons for assisted folding and unfolding of the walking deck, so it can be done more or less easily.
Transport wheels help move the treadmill around, but said as many times before, it is perhaps the best practice to position the treadmill on the permanent location and use it as often as possible.
One of the main Exerpeutic strengths is its maximum user weight of 400 pounds (~181 kg) - and this is some serious weight limit, even for walking treadmills.
In order to increase the intensity, the treadmill has 2 manual incline positions - one has to stop walking, get off the treadmill, adjust the incline and then again step on the treadmill and continue with the exercise. This can interrupt the workout, but the best thing to do is to set the incline right on the start and keep it that way throughout the entire workout. Anyway, incline change is rather small, from 3% to 6%.
TF1000 treadmill comes with a 5-year motor warranty, 1-year frame warranty, and 90 days warranty on parts and labor.
