Features of ProForm PRO-9000 Treadmill - Model PFTL15820
Assembly of the ProForm PRO-9000 Treadmill is not complicated as most parts come attached to the base frame and users just have to attach the two console masts, console, side handlebars, and the front base covers. This takes around an hour.
The manual contains all the assembly instructions in detail and the tools required are included.
The frame of the PRO-9000 is made of high-grade steel, but includes some ABS plastic parts too, like the dashboard, motor casing, etc. However, the overall construction of the machine is pretty sturdy.
The 3.6 CHP Mach ZTM motor of the PRO-9000 is powerful, smooth and durable. It stays cool even through the most rigorous exercises and is thus suitable for heavy use.
Although the ProForm PRO-9000 is not very large, it measures 77.3” in length and 35.3” in width, and thus, takes up significant space. However, it doesn’t take up much space once the exercise is over, because of its folding design.
Although the ProForm PRO-9000 is quite big, it has a folding SpaceSaver design so that users can fold it and store it away after the workout. Also, with the EasyLift Assist system, folding the deck is super-easy.
The console of the ProForm PRO-9000 with its real big 22” swipeable high-definition smart touchscreen is by far its best feature. The screen allows users to easily swipe through and view their workout metrics that include incline/decline (current settings), calories burned, the time elapsed, distance, and speed (current settings), as displayed from left to right at the top of the screen. Users can choose incline/decline and speed from the screen, and there are also buttons for these settings at the bottom of the screen.
In addition, there are buttons for increasing or decreasing incline and speed below the bottom of the screen, along with the Start/Stop buttons, and buttons for fan and sound system volume.
The PRO-9000 includes an iFit Family membership for a full year through which users can stream live and on-demand fitness training. This program enables users to benefit from the training by world-class fitness trainers who offer studio classes as well as take users across the world, through beautiful locations, in the comfort of users’ homes.
The speed, incline, and decline of the treadmill are automatically adjusted as desired by the location and exercise. Users can check their progress as every training session is automatically recorded and can even be used to determine future fitness plans. The iFit workouts allow users to perform workouts other than treadmill workouts so that users can get full-body workouts.
Heart Rate Monitoring
The SmartBeatTM Forearm Heart Rate Monitor by the ProForm PRO-9000 Treadmill easily syncs to the treadmill and users can continuously monitor their heart rate on the screen.
However, the heart rate monitor is not included in the package. Users have to buy it separately.
The running deck of the PRO-9000 is spacious measuring 60” x 20”. The 60” length lets the user stretch out their stride and the 20” width offers plenty of elbow room. The company claims that they test each belt one million times at double the user weight before releasing it.
The running deck is equipped with ProForm’s most advanced cushioning system yet, the ReBound ProTM cushioning. The patented shock absorbers in this system have the capability to reduce the impact to a minimum and putting the least stress on users’ feet, ankles, knees, and hips, thus keeping their joints safe and comfortable while walking, running, or jogging. Not to mention, this also offers a quicker recovery time.
Maximum User Weight Capacity
Being a family treadmill, the ProForm PRO-9000 has been designed to handle users up to 300 lbs.
The PRO-9000 offers speeds ranging from 0 to 12 miles per hour and thus offers a perfect workout for users of every skill level and preference.
The machine is equipped with an in-home efficiency booster which helps users exercise every day without using too much electricity. Plus, users can conveniently adjust their workout intensity with the QuickSpeed buttons.
Incline and Decline
The decline to incline range of the PRO-9000 makes it stand out among other treadmills of its kind. It offers a decline of up to -3% and incline up to 12% so that users can get a wide range of challenges to choose from. The machine also offers powered, automatic adjustability for incline and decline.
To keep the wear and tear to a minimum, the PRO-9000 is equipped with huge 1.9” precision-balanced, non-flex rollers, which reduce tension and noise and offer a better grip.
Among the add-ons, the ProForm PRO-9000 comes with is the CoolAireTM Fan which keeps users cool throughout their workout. It has two-speed settings.
Another remarkable add-on the treadmill has is a sound system with built-in Bluetooth connectivity that enables users to sync up and enjoy their favorite entertainment at a high volume. It has two built-in 2-inch speakers that let users listen to music and videos wirelessly.
Plus, there are depressions flanking the touchscreen which users can use to place water bottle, keys, TV remote, phone, etc.
Like all other ProForm treadmills, the PRO-9000 too comes pre-lubricated and hence doesn’t require lubrication for a long time. However, after that, the belt needs to be lubricated periodically.
Plus, users should keep the belt clean to prevent any small objects like fibers from getting caught inside. In addition, users should check for any loosened bolts and parts, and tighten them if required.
