Weslo Cardiostride 4.0 Treadmill Review

Weslo Cardiostride 4.0 Treadmill is one of the cheapest treadmills presented on the market ever and it’s worth studying what it can give users for that low price. Interestingly, the manual treadmill has a lot of features including self-powered design as well as adjustable incline that can help users burn calories without the electricity costs.

It’s also seemingly a perfect machine for cardio training for home use, but offers no entertainments though provides a storage space for phone or tablet so that users can enjoy music or videos on their own devices.

Features of Weslo Cardiostride 4.0 Treadmill

Assembly of Cardiostride 4.0 is not difficult but it’s advisable to read the instructions before starting the assembly process. The package includes the manual that contains the instructions and all the required tools needed for assembly. In general, the assembly process will require two persons to finish within a short time. However, actually it’s found that none of the nuts and bolts fit together and in the holes properly and assembly becomes tedious.

Design and Construction Quality

The design of Cardiostride 4.0 seems to be a great space-saver and so, is perfect for small homes. It can also be folded out of the way for compact storage. Plus there are small wheels provided due to which it’s easily portable.
The construction of Cardiostride 4.0 is of solid steel; but it’s quite lightweight, weighing only 53.2 pounds. It’s available in an attractive smooth black color by default.

Dimensions of Cardiostride 4.0 are 47.5” L x 26.75” W x 50” H.

User Weight Capacity

Cardiostride 4.0 has maximum user weight capacity of 250 lbs.

No Motor

Cardiostride 4.0 is self-powered and therefore it has no motor installed as it doesn’t need any power supply.

The display of Cardiostride 4.0 is a large LCD multi-function touchscreen window which shows the workout data including Distance Covered, Time, Speed and Calories Burned.

Tread Belt

The tread belt of Weslo Cardiostride 4.0 is 16” x 41” which is seemingly a decent size to offer users enough space to walk, run or jog. It’s not supposed to restrict users’ movements and there is no risk of users’ feet getting tangled. The belt moves with the user’s strides’ momentum, depending upon the intensity of moving speed. However, the belt has been found to slip to a side and has to be adjusted again and again. Also, it has to be lubricated often and doesn’t run smoothly.

There are two incline positions on Cardiostride 4.0 which can be adjusted manually via the base of the treadmill using the feet. The inclination angle can be changed up to maximum 19 degrees.

The two positions are designed to increase the intensity of the exercise, burn more calories and decrease impact on joints. But during actual use it’s observed that even the smallest incline is highly challenging and therefore not suitable for beginners or those who have problems in walking.

Weslo Cardiostride 4.0 comes with a limited 90-day warranty on parts and labor.

Return Policy

A 30-day trial period is offered on all products of Weslo including the Cardiostride 4.0. If a user is not satisfied with the product, the product is replaced or the user gets full refund, provided the product is in good condition.

Bottom Line

weslo cardiostride 4 0 treadmill mWeslo Cardiostride 4.0 Treadmill has been built for light exercise and cardio workout for people with a small budget and small home. Plus, being a manually powered machine, it’s supposed to save users’ electricity costs too.

However, the quality of this machine seems to be compromised in the form of sometimes unfitting nuts and bolts, unsmooth tread belt that must be aligned perfectly or it will keep on slipping and sometimes even faulty console.

All in all, if you are looking for a compact, self-powered walking treadmill, consider this unit. But, it’s perhaps worth spending some more money to buy a higher quality treadmill which can offer a smoother workout and less stressed maintenance.
