Optimum Nutrition L-Glutamine Capsules and Powder
Optimum Nutrition L-Glutamine Capsules and Powder is a sport supplement important for muscle recovery and for strengthening the immune system. Powdered form is more recommended due to the lower price per gram of supplement, but some users prefer capsuled form due to the ease of use.

Optimum Nutrition L-Glutamine Muscle Recovery Powder
Optimum Nutrition L-Glutamine Powder comes in several sizes: 150g, 3006, 600g, and 1000g of unflavored powder containing nothing but the purest form of L-glutamine.
Serving size is 1 rounded teaspoon (5g of powder) to be taken with 8 oz of water or some beverage or to be used as directed by a licensed nutritionist or physician.
Note: ON L-Glutamin doesn't come with a scoop - personally, I use a very accurate scale (up to 0.1g of accuracy, for less than 200g total weight) to measure my supplements. Such a small scale is cheap and can last for a long time.
Since this is unflavored powder, some users are almost thrilled when they consume it mixed with plain water.
When I am on a strict diet, I use it before workouts too, stacked with some BCAAs and EAAs, regardless if I go to the gym, on a track or for power-walk on a home treadmill.
Optimum Nutrition L-Glutamine Muscle Recovery Capsules
Optimum Nutrition L-Glutamine Capsules come in several sizes, too: 60, 120, and 240 capsules. Each capsule contains 1000mg (1 gram) of pure L-glutamine.
Note: capsules come in the bottles with '1000 CAPS' text written - this means that each capsule contains 1000mg of l-glutamine and the exact amount (number) of capsules is written with slightly smaller text.
These capsules are designed for rapid disintegration and maximum absorption of L-glutamine after use.
The price of the L-glutamine per gram is higher when compared with the L-glutamine in powdered form, but some people find it easier to consume L-glutamine in this form.
It is recommended to consume 1-2 capsules between meals, 30-45 minutes before workouts and/or immediately after workouts or to be used as directed by a licensed nutritionist or physician.
Personally, I don't like pills, tablets, and capsules and I don't like empty wallet, so I don't use ON Glutamine in capsules.
However, some athletes stack the glutamine capsules with BCAAs capsules and consume throughout the day, helping the body stay in an anabolic state, even when on a low-calorie diet.
Long Story Short: Optimum Nutrition L-Glutamine can help athletes improve recovery and regeneration after workouts and can help boost the immune system.
Scientific studies confirming these statements are not fully conclusive, but ...
IMHO, I add it mostly to my PWM shakes and I feel better when I take it, especially when I am on a strict diet. When I am not on a low-calorie diet (maintenance diet or bulking diet), the effects of taking glutamine, at least for me, are not as evident.
Note: going on a diet, taking supplements, working out hard, etc - only after consulting with your physician, or licensed nutritionist and trainer.
