Universal Nutrition Casein Pro
Universal Nutrition Casein Pro is pure micellar casein protein powder. It has good protein content, it is easy on the stomach, mixes rather well in a shaker, and tastes acceptably well.

Universal Nutrition Casein Pro comes in two packages - 2 pounds (908 g) and 4 pounds (1.8 kg) and several flavors - Chocolate Milkshake, Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana, Cookies & Cream, and Vanilla Soft Serve.
All flavors have very similar nutritional content, with macros given in the following table - all values are for a single, 33g serving:
|Flavor||Chocolate Milkshake||Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana||Cookies & Cream||Vanilla Soft Serve|
|Calcium||55% RDA||54% RDA||57% RDA||55% RDA|
AS one can see, Universal Nutrition Casein Pro has very low amounts of fats and carbs, when compared with the protein content.
Also, cholesterol, sodium, and saturated fats are very low, while there are no trans fats.
Note: cholesterol, sodium, and saturated fats are required by the human body, just one has to vary about their amounts - Universal Nutrition Casein Pro has very low amounts of these nutrients.
Universal Nutrition Casein Pro is also a very good source of calcium, and perhaps phosphorus, while other vitamins and minerals are present in lower amounts or not present at all.
All flavors, except perhaps Cookies & Cream, can be used even on Keto Diet - fitting 3-5g of carbs for bedtime shake or a daily snack, even on a such low-carb diet should not be a problem.
All four flavors mixes well in the shaker with water or milk. To avoid too thick shake, add enough liquid. Powder mixes better when plastic/metal shaker mesh is used, but it can produce a certain amount of foam, which settles within 5-10 seconds.
It is also possible to mix the powder with the blender, especially when adding other foods like fruits, oats, low fat or cottage cheese, milled nuts, peanut butter, and similar.
Macronutrients of such shakes and smoothies can be tailored to individual needs and requirements.
Personally, when mixing with plain water, Chocolate Milkshake has the best taste.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana is good, but I don't like the combined taste of banana and peanut butter.
Cookies & Cream is OK, especially when some low-fat cocoa powder is added - yes, I am a little bit chocoholic :)
Vanilla Soft Serve has a very gentle taste and can be consumed with water or mixed with fruits - personally, for 'fruity smoothies' I prefer Vanilla flavors of various manufacturers, not only of Universal Nutrition.
If you need a quick breakfast or a daily snack, for example, just mix a scoop of Vanilla Soft Serve with 150-200g of berries or similar fruits with a hand blender and you are good to go.
Or if you need a more fulfilling daily meal, add some milled oats to such smoothie.
In the evening, mix a serving of Universal Nutrition Casein Pro with some milled nuts (almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts), some peanut butter, and low fat or cottage cheese in the plain water and you will get an excellent slowly digesting bedtime protein shake/smoothie.
Note: nuts and peanut butter can pack plenty of calories - healthy fats are fats, too, so be aware of the amounts.
For short - Universal Nutrition Casein Pro is a very good casein protein powder, mixing and taste is comparable with other similar powders. Some users complain about the taste, and yes, the taste of Optimum Nutrition 100% Casein or Dymatize Elite Casein is better with plain water. When mixed with other foods with the blender, all those casein protein supplements has very similar taste and are fully mixed without lumps or anything similar.
